-the house itself -location in the forest

1) DanCenter: a very complicated system and 0 help from the staff. We arrived there and found out from the neighbours that the key needs to be picked up from a place 20 km away. On the confirmation voucher from DanCenter it said that the keybox is at the house. Then, somewhere in the middle of the message it said the location of the key is in Ansager. We went there and there was a door with a code. The code wasn't given anywhere on the voucher. We tried everything in the pouring rain with the kids in the car. Nobody was picking up any of the phones and the answering machine said "all the info is in the voucher". Fortunately some local guy stopped and helped us - it turned out the code to this door was actually the post code for the village. How obvious, right /sarcasm/? What's obvious is that we can't have been the first ones to have this problem 2) the key we got was labelled 18a, while we were in 18b. 3) we were supposed to write down the water and electricity meter readings. While the electricity one was easy enough to find, we have no idea where the water one was. Again, the help from the answering machine is that all info is in the voucher. There should have been a photo of the meters but there weren't any. It's a weird system anyway, nobody had asked us for water use readings before but we were prepared for it. 4) contacting through Booking.com was a joke: the person wrote "oh, I see you started your stay, please contact the local office". Awesome, tell them to pick up. 5) locking the door was very hard. Even though we knew you had to lift the handle before locking, it kept jamming 6) the shower curtain - impossible to shower without getting the whole bathroom wet
