The Space:

Welcome to Kleinhoef, a characterful farmhouse from 1875, surrounded by open meadows in the beautiful Vecht countryside.



The farmhouse features two distinctive bedrooms: De Tuinkamer (Garden Room) and De Opkamer (Raised Room). Both have their own private bathroom with a shower, washbasin and toilet.



De Tuinkamer also features a lovely conservatory with a comfortable seating area and coffee and tea facilities. Its southeast-facing terrace is a wonderful spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning sunshine.



At the heart of the farmhouse is the spacious country kitchen, featuring a four-burner induction hob, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator and a large wooden dining table seating up to eight people.



Next to the kitchen, the cosy living area offers comfortable seating and a traditional box-bed-style sofa. Sliding doors connect the living space to the terrace, where you can enjoy beautiful views across the surrounding fields.



Bed linen, towels, coffee, tea and basic kitchen essentials are provided. Wi-Fi is available, although speeds may be slower than in the city. There is no television, making Kleinhoef an inviting place to disconnect and unwind.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to their accommodation and the designated shared spaces within the farmhouse, including the spacious country kitchen and cosy living area.



Outside, you can enjoy the peaceful countryside surroundings and the terraces overlooking the meadows. Covered bicycle storage is also available, including facilities for charging electric bicycles.



Kleinhoef is located alongside the beautiful River Vecht, with a private jetty and swimming ladder by the water.



Please respect the privacy of other guests and the owners, and note that not all areas of the farmhouse and surrounding farmland are accessible.



The Neighborhood:

Kleinhoef is tucked away along a quiet country lane beside the River Vecht, surrounded by green meadows, charming villages and beautiful Dutch landscapes.



The nearby village of Vreeland offers inviting restaurants and picturesque streets, while Loenen aan de Vecht is known for its historic charm, cafés, restaurants and local shops.



In the opposite direction, you will find Nigtevecht, a peaceful village with a small local supermarket. A little further away lies Weesp, a charming historic town with canals, bridges, shops and waterside terraces.



The surrounding Vecht region is ideal for cycling, walking and exploring traditional Dutch villages. Follow the winding river, admire historic country estates or enjoy a relaxing afternoon beside the water.



Despite its peaceful rural setting, Kleinhoef is conveniently situated between Amsterdam and Utrecht, making it a wonderful base for combining countryside relaxation with city adventures.



Getting Around:

Kleinhoef is located on Vreelandseweg, a peaceful country road near Nigtevecht, between Amsterdam and Utrecht.



The surrounding area is particularly lovely to explore by bicycle. Scenic country roads lead through green meadows and along the River Vecht, connecting picturesque villages such as Vreeland, Loenen aan de Vecht and Nigtevecht.



For shopping, restaurants and cafés, you can visit nearby Weesp, while Amsterdam and Utrecht offer plenty of opportunities for day trips.



As Kleinhoef is situated in a rural area, travelling by car or bicycle is particularly convenient. We recommend planning your public transport connections in advance.



Other Things to Note:

Kleinhoef is a genuine countryside retreat, and life here follows the rhythms of nature.



You may hear birds singing early in the morning, frogs croaking on warm summer evenings or the occasional owl calling at night. As the farmhouse is surrounded by working farmland, agricultural activity and machinery may sometimes be heard, particularly during the farming season.
