Location

Had windows but Could not see outside-located in courtyard, facing back of restaurant. Poor level of privacy required blinds to be closed at all times. No natural light. Place was very small. Kitchen not well equipped.

"the complete disaster": The mirror in the living room, on the left side of the couch, is broken. The bedsheets in the wardrobe were used. The handle of the drawer is also broken. The wallpaper is dirty and ripped. Also there are crumbles all over the couch and it’s dirty. the water from the shower does not drain. the bed is broken

Passable with superb location: Very small apartment on the ground floor with no view

The apartment’s location is SUPERB!! - Just a short walk to the Musée d’Orsay, the Seine (10 minutes), Place de la Concorde (15 minutes), and even the Louvre (about 20 minutes). Metro and bus stations are nearby (5–10 minutes), making it easy to get around. The hosts were great and very responsive. Check-in was at 3:00 pm, but since we arrived at 11:00 am, they kindly let us in early, which meant a lot after a long trip. Thank you very much, appreciate it! :) The apartment has a small kitchen and fridge, so we could prepare simple meals. There’s also a washing machine (no detergent is provided) and an electric drying rack, which made it easy to do laundry and pack lighter.

1. This does not seem to be a typical apartment but some sort of a converted ground-floor space with no view. The listing should have shown outside photos, as we only realized on arrival that this is a ground floor apartment with extension built inside the courtyard. There’s no terrace, and the bedroom is so small you can barely walk around the bed, though the bathroom and shower are surprisingly spacious. In front of the window are trash bins and a restaurant service door, so people pass by constantly in front of your windows. Because of this, you have to keep the curtains closed, making the place dark and uncomfortable. 2. The hosts have asked me to pay the city tax separately through Resolute, which is not a secure site. My bank blocked the card, and I had to deal with resolving this issue. This was the first time in my travels that a host requested a separate payment. I expected all costs to be included or at least processed through a secure platform like PayPal. 3. Overcommunication. The hosts were kind and helpful, but we received multiple emails (at the booking time, before the arrival, at the time of the arrival, and at the time of leaving) about the rules: trash separation, key return, ensuring the key lock is scrambled, penalties for lost keys (300 €), using any VoD - Video on Demand (100 €), and not exceeding the checkout time. These constant reminders felt very excessive. 4. Kitchen utensils need updating. The frying pan was excessively large for the small size of the stove making it almost impossible to use, and one pot lid was broken, which caused a minor burn. 6. The floor needs thorough cleaning. When walking barefoot on the floor, there was a debris we'd step on that was not cleaned. It might need better vacuuming and cleaning before the stay.

Le quartier paisible et la proximité du métro.

Le divan-lit très inconfortable, les chaises sales et inconfortables, la moisissure dans la salle de bain, la porte de douche crasseuse, le plafond qui fuit dans la cuisine et qui cause des dégâts d’eau, le manque d’équipement dans la cuisine. Le plus désagréable était le bruit fait par un restaurant italien avec une cour commune à l’appartement, dès 6h30 le matin. Très désagréable quand on est en jet lag.
