The location is great… right in the village on the top of a hill. The village has about 30+ wine tasting rooms that represent many of the wineries in the Chateauneuf du Pape area and you can walk to them easily!
The apartment is also located adjacent to the ruins of the Chateau of Chateauneuf du Pape.
Be ready to climb hills. The apartment is on a steep hill.
It has a good air conditioner!
Owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating.
The owners own a wine tasting cellar directly under the apartment (which they don’t advertise) which was nice to visit!
1. Ants. Place was full of ants when we got there (kitchen and bedroom). Notified owners immediately and they put down some chemicals which cleared up the ant problem. They said the village was infested with ants this summer, probably due to the extreme heat they’ve had all summer.
2. While GPS took us right to the property, it was still difficult to find. No markings on the street and the place was a bit hidden and up some stairs. No house number on the door either.

Super well equipped with a well appointed kitchen and balcony area. The coffee was excellent and we enjoyed our breakfast every morning on the balcony. Bed was super comfortable and air conditioning was very efficient. Spacious lounge area to also enjoy our wine.
No on-site parking. Would have to unload close to the property and park at the castle, which may not work for those with limited mobility.
