Lovely location, close to everything. It was actually quite perfect. I’m glad I picked the spot. Would stay again under certain conditions outlined below.
We really enjoyed our time here – the location is brilliant, the décor is lovely, and the kitchen leads directly onto a cosy outdoor area which was a great touch. The host also resolved an internet issue very quickly, which we appreciated.
However, there’s a major issue that I didn’t raise during the stay but feel future guests and the host need to be aware of. The two pieces of living room furniture, which are also advertised as single beds, are not safe or stable for adult use. They have panels underneath that repeatedly fall through when pressure is applied, and some were held together with makeshift duct tape.
Because we had multiple adults staying, we had no choice but to use these for sleeping, as intended. However, this was only manageable by carefully repositioning the sturdier panels over the weaker ones to try and prevent them from slipping out of their slots. Even then, we had to be extremely cautious when lying on them. A heavier person could easily fall through if one of the weaker panels gave way. This wasn’t just uncomfortable, it felt unsafe.
While these may be just about manageable for children, they are not suitable for adults in their current condition. Since they’re being advertised as additional adult sleeping spaces, it’s important this is taken seriously. They need full replacement, patch jobs aren’t enough.
The shower is located inside one of the bedrooms, so that takes a bit of coordination, but it’s not a big issue if everyone communicates. The toilet is separate, near the kitchen.
All in all, I would stay again, but only if the furniture advertised as beds is properly replaced. This space has great potential, but sleeping arrangements must be safe and comfortable for all listed guests.
