A Quiet, Peaceful Stay

Very welcoming host! Explained everything in depth and ensured I understood even with the language barrier. I had an extremely quiet stay and the location was awesome, near a family mart with a short walk to a station. Overall 10/10 would stay again!!

Cheap but terrible experience

It was a relatively cheap options and available last minute.

- On booking it said there would be self check-in, but it turned out we had to wait for the host. We had to wait 30 minutes for him to show up, and he he gave a 40-minute explanation of everything that is not allowed in the accomodation (most of these were just common sense to us). This felt like we were not really welcome at all and the host was desperately trying to save money. - The bed is very hard and the pillows are terrible. It felt like he used the lowest quality bedding he could find. When i asked for another futon (i have back issues), he said it would cost us another 1500 yen (in another accommodation this was a free service) - There is only one remote control for the airco so you have to bring it with you each time. The upstairs airco stopped working every two hours, waking you up from the Japanese heat every few hours in the night. - there is no furniture. You get a table, but no couch, no decor, ... - the location is very far from the metro. - the ceilings are so low, we had to bend down to go into some of the rooms. The stairs are so steep, you cannot get any luggage to the second floor. The "bathroom" tap was turned off so that we could only use the tap in the kitchen. - There's a lot of mold and damp spots on the walls and the floor in the living room was collapsing. There were moldy slippers in the shower. - The lights have an automatic timer that turns off so quickly that you constantly have to move to keep it on. - ... conclusion: it is cheap but you do not get a lot in return. In hindsight, i would not come here again, as we have slept terribly.

Close to station and value for money

Location only 6 minute walk from Kishinosato station and handy Family Mart nearby.

Steep staircase, a couple of quirky things like only one aircon remote, not enough utensils, but no big deal.
