Dreamy Hostel exceeded my expectations. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the beach, so I could catch the sunrise almost every morning before heading for my surf sessions. The hostel has a fantastic social atmosphere with regular events that made it easy to meet people from around the world and make genuine friendships. The hospitality was exceptional. Rizvi and his team, especially Praveen, went above and beyond to make everyone feel at home. They were always happy to help with transport, local recommendations and anything else I needed. The surf lessons they arranged with Sajir were one of the highlights of my Sri Lanka trip. The hostel is clean, comfortable and has a relaxed vibe that makes it very easy to extend your stay. I came as a guest and left feeling like part of the family.
Honestly, very little. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that it isn’t a beachfront property, so you don’t wake up to direct ocean views. However, the beach is only a short walk away, so it was never a major issue

The staff was very friendly. The bathroom was big. The room was clean.
There is no AC in the private room which is unbearable in such hot weather. The fan on the celling is barely doing anything except for much noice. There also was no mosquito net even tho there are holes in the windows, door and the toilet ceiling. (!) Also the place was extremely noisy - after midnight there were still people next to our door yelling hard, laughing incredibly loudly and throwing some objects at the walls making it really hard to fall asleep even with earplugs on.
