Very nice place, great location. Excellent facilities, everything we needed. Beautiful furnishings. Tideswell is a great place to visit.
We had no problem parking, but I can see it might be a problem during busy times.

Such a cosy, comfortable cottage, spacious, well equipped, super comfy beds, opposite a lovely pub with great food, all set in the most charming village. Very helpful host who was readily available when needed. Great walks nearby. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The location is excellent, directly opposite the Star Inn where we enjoyed a delicious meal on Thursday evening. Only a few steps away through the beautiful village to the magnificent church, the George Inn and a lovely fish and chip shop which we ate from on Friday. There’s a village bakery, fruit and veg shop, Co-op store, cash point machine, cafe, two hairdressers shops….and another pub, The Horse and Jockey where some of our party also stayed. Don’t miss the chance to dine at Sal’s Italian Restaurant! 14 of us gathered on Saturday evening to celebrate my 60th birthday. Food was amazing. They aren’t licensed so you take your own alcohol. Bonus!! The cottage itself is a great size. Seven of us stayed there. As mentioned in previous reviews the stairs are steep so we put my 85yr old Dad in the very spacious downstairs double bedroom. There’s a bathroom with shower on the ground floor so that was ideal. There are 3 steps from the lounge up to the kitchen area before you reach the ground floor bathroom so it’s not ideal for anyone with mobility issues but we were fine. The lounge and kitchen are a great space for hosting a gathering. As I said there were 14 of us in total staying in Tideswell for my birthday. We couldn’t have picked a better spot. There are buses to Buxton, Castleton and Bakewell from the village centre and plenty of lovely local walks.
