The owner was very attentive, breakfasts were optional but very generous, it was of the continental variety. The room was of a good size with an ensuite.
The property was accessed via a fairly steep pathway which would not be suitable for disabled or older people with walking issues.

Wir sind auf der Via Algarviana für eine Nacht bei Stefan und Jörg untergekommen und haben hier eine herzliche Begrüßung, viel Ruhe, ein sehr (!) bequemes Bett und ein sehr gepflegtes und sauberes Zimmer gehabt. Genau das, was wir gesucht haben. Das Frühstück hat das Ganze für uns perfekt abgerundet.

The wholesomeness of the experience. Both Stefan an Jorg were very helpful and very caring. We made a very long trip and message them if we could arrive a little after their check in hours and they were very understanding and thoughtful. Gave us good instructions regarding how to navigate the town with some key points for those that just arrived and know nothing about were they are.
Their dog Smutje is very endearing, even though she is not as given. Still a very funny and nice presence. The place is fantastic looks like an old Roman house, with two amazing terraces. One small in the higher part of the house and the ground floor terrace. Definitely a place worth visiting and staying at Casa d'Alte for a while and just take in the peace. 10/10 would recommend
