The location of the cottage is supurb. The property backs on to the river and is a very short walk to the town centre. The property has gorgeous gardens with lovely big trees providing plenty of shade from the heat.
The previous visitors took the key with them so we found the cottage unlocked. Unfortunately there was no spare key offered to us and we had to wait 4 days until the key was returned. The key was received by the property manager in Mansfield on the Tues AM but only bothered to drive it out to us the following day after promising it would be straight out.
The provisions in the cottage where very limited. Very little in the way of kitchen utensils and containers. The water pressure in the kitchen was nonexistent, a dribble at best.
The queen bed was extremely soft and unstable it rocked/moved anytime one of us rolled over.
The shower was the worst I have ever come across. A fine mist of stinging water that is useless to remove soap from one's body, and don't even bother trying to remove shampoo.
The cottage sleeps four however, only seating for three is provided in the lounge. Only one seat is provided on the porch.
We spent 6 nights in the cottage and it's clear the hosts has never spent anytime there. The place lacks thought and care.
