Breathe at ease in this peaceful place nestled along rolling hills, winding roads and in between mountains ranges.
The space
The main living area has an A-frame cabin feel with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. It has windows facing both East and West of the Blue Ridge mountain range. This layout allows for magnificent views of sunrises and sunsets. Plenty of seating indoor and outdoor. Comfortable bedrooms. The location is situated on 2 acres of land between 5-7 miles of Skyline Drive, National park land and hiking trails.
Guest access
The entire main floor is available to you including the screened in porch, the front and backyard. You will be able to enjoy this private space without having to share it with us as hosts or other guests. (The lower level is safely locked off and used exclusively for storage). There is also a washer/dryer available and ample parking.

There is a cleaning fee of
$150 one time for pets.

The entire home was comfortable and enjoyable. I agree with other guests about the beds and pillows... they were absolutely perfect. I stayed on one side of the house while my former college roommate stayed on the other, and we never heard each other. That said, neither of us spent much time in our rooms.We spent about 95% of our time on the beautiful screened-in porch. In fact, that's the main reason I chose this home. A screened-in porch with a view is always at the top of our list when selecting a house for our annual reunion. Morning coffee and evening dessert out there were simply delightful.There was one evening when it was too chilly to sit on the porch, and we would have loved to relax in the living room by the beautiful gas fireplace. However, we couldn't figure out how to operate it and were worried about doing something wrong. Written instructions on or near the mantel would be a helpful addition for future guests.The location was also ideal. We were an easy drive from Charlottesville, Skyline Drive, Staunton, and many historic sites. This trip, we visited Monticello.Thank you, Karen, for the excellent communication throughout our stay! And a special shout-out to the lone sheep on the front porch—we made a point of greeting her each time we came and went: "Hello there, Ewe!"

House was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Yard areas were enchanting. Wildlife was abundant, and we enjoyed every single minute of our stay. Host was beyond all expectations. We hope to return when we can.

Wow, where do I begin? Gorgeous and peaceful views, spacious very clean feeling house, impressive and quick communication, great location for the event we had to be there for, overall a great experience! I would love to stay there again!
