About this house rental
Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. This two-story Victorian Cottage is located a short stroll to downtown and is on the trolley route. Built in the 1800s, it blends nostalgia with modern luxuries. The back area is up against a bluff, surrounded by nature's beauty! Starry Night is truly a magical place!

The home was built in 1886, and in very good condition. Plumbing works very well. There are multiple AC units, as well as a dehumidifier running which keeps the house very comfortable. Beds, and sheets are good quality. The house is in a great location. Shopping is downhill, and The Cresent Hotel is uphill. There is a set of stairs at Spring St and Howell labeled Knome Trail. I'd recommend taking that trail and turning right at Old Red Brick trail to take you up to Prospect if you plan on walking to the hotel. It's a much easier walk than tackling the incline of Howell Street. There's plenty to do in the area. I stayed 4 nights, and could have stayed several more.

Everything was just as posted. We were close enough to downtown to walk but far enough it was quiet. Thanks for a great break from life.

I didn't care for the air conditioning system. I would have preferred central air conditioning. The dining room chairs were not stable.The outside rear of the home was not clean. The inside of the home was clean. I liked all the windows. The provided snacks and drinks were nice.
