As others have said, it's a very good location. Very close to the main train station - Nyugati (7-8 mins walk or 1 tram stop), metro line1 station (1 minute walk and tram stop (practically outside main door). So many eateries, coffee & tea houses and bars/pubs in the neighbourhood. A 24 hour supermarket literally around the corner and a Spar supermarket just 2 minutes walk.
Norbert (I hope the spelling is right :-) ) was friendly and cooperative with check in and check out times.
The kitchen was adequate. No one was preparing more than hot drinks and a snack during our (4 day stay). In fact, the hostel only had a handful of guest during our 3 night stay.
The bedding, towels, bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Plenty of loo roll and soap provided.
It's cheap!!
Maybe because it was a holiday period (Easter Sunday and Monday), lots of cups and dishes etc were left in the kitchen sink for a couple of days. Left by irresponsible guest, so the hostel not really to blame.
The communal area is bit sparce - only a small table, a few hard chairs and one old armchair - but you can't expect a hotel lounge for the price!!
Not a big problem for me, but a lot of street light came into the room because it wasn't possible to close the outer window blinds. If you need a dark room to sleep, bring an eye mask. Also bring some (plastic) slippers to use around the hostel (even if they are provided) - additionally you need them for when/if you go to the wonderful thermal baths/spa in Budapest.
The internal courtyard of the building is run down. Not the hostel to blame. Apparantly, most condominium central court yards in the city are like that.

Моя невістка замовила і розрахувалась онлайн,за моє проживання,а потім коли я приїхав з мене ще узяли 50 євро готівкою,сказали що повернуть,але не плвернули!
