The value was great. It only cost 30% than other hotels near by. When I was in Manhattan, the hotel price in this area was $300+. So I decided to try Nolita Express. I knew the "room" is small and with open celling. But it was fine for me. When I went sleep, I put on eye mask and era plug, I felt I was flying in an airplane with a full-flat business class.
Also, the location is great. Little Italy is 2 blocks away, so many restaurants. Subway is not far.
The only thing I didn't like was that the man's room smells bad some time.

Private rooms, great location, helpful staff. Even had an IRON which was a lifesaver since I needed to iron my clothes and jacket. Unfort some people were listening to their phone a bit at night, but i had my ear plugs - def bring those.
Lack of social atmosphere. People glued on their phones. Bathroom was ok. Shower space is too tight, not enough space to change within the shower, nor is there a changing section. Feels a bit cramped.

The location is amazing. The hostel is pretty clean and it has everything you need for a good stay. I love Nolita.
The rooms are extremely small, it’s a bit cold at night and it’s a bit noisy because not everyone is following the rules.

The only thing I liked was the location and how quickly you can take the subway.
The bed is not comfortable for anyone over 180 cm. The toilets are so small that, to sit down, I had to leave the door open. The kitchen doesn't have silverware. There were a few plastic cups in the kitchen on the first day; after they were gone, there were no more for the next 5 days.
