The location to the town centre was good although a bit of a climb up the hill. The car parking permit allowed us to park within 50 metres of the property. the facilities within the property were very apart from the steep stairs.
There was no mention of the steep stairs in the property and no hand rails at the turn at the tops of the two staircases. This made carrying cups of tea etc from kitchen to down stairs living area awkward and not so easy from the bedroom to bathroom

Cosy cottage with character. Good views and quiet despite being tucked away near the centre of Bakewell. Comfortable bed and good fire in sitting room.
The stairs were exceptionally steep and hazardous if carrying a cup of tea up to bed etc. In view of being no frills e.g no tea, coffee, salt, shower gel, hair dryer etc provided and having an unsatisfactory shower arrangement, it was very expensive...similar to two nights in London hotel at a weekend
