Marcel and his family are incredibly welcoming and go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable throughout your stay. You can buy dinner and breakfast from them which is delicious and generously portioned.
Getting there was easy, we were given clear instructions on how to find the guesthouse from the road, and the bus driver knew exactly where to drop us off.
He also helped us get to the start of the Valbone to Theth trail for a small fee, which we really appreciated and were happy to pay.
The room is simple but had everything we needed and was kept clean. The view from the balcony was a real highlight - all round it's a quiet spot with an authentic feel and great hosts.

Fantastic host, clean and cozy. Dinner was good. They made us take-away breakfast since we were starting our hike before breakfast time. Great place to stay in Valbonë.

Superb stay in this beautiful guest house.
The traditional home cooked meal was excellent as was the breakfast.

Domek położony jest w pięknej lokalizacji w Valbonie, blisko szlaków turystycznych. Dla osób, które większość czasu spędzają poza miejscem zakwaterowania, warunki są wystarczające. Dostęp do balkonu znajduje się z przedpokoju. Śniadania są serwowane i mają prosty charakter.
Spodziewaliśmy się widoku na góry z okna pokoju, jednak otrzymaliśmy widok na kurnik — choć trzeba przyznać, że były tam kwoki z uroczymi pisklętami.
W opisie udogodnień znajdowała się informacja o zestawie do parzenia kawy i herbaty, jednak w rzeczywistości nie było możliwości przygotowania sobie napoju. Gospodarz kilkukrotnie proponował nam posiłki, więc zdecydowaliśmy się zamówić obiad. Wcześniej zapytaliśmy, co będzie serwowane — miała to być zupa, sałatka oraz jako danie główne „byrek”, tradycyjna potrawa albańska.
Otrzymaliśmy zupę przygotowaną na bazie „Vegety” z makaronem typu „gwiazdki”, sałatkę, frytki, chleb ze śmietaną oraz na koniec garść czereśni. Wszystko zostało podane w formie przystawek, bez talerzy. Byliśmy przekonani, że są to jedynie przekąski i oczekiwaliśmy na danie główne. Po pewnym czasie, czując się zakłopotani, odeszliśmy od stołu.
Dzień wcześniej, za tę samą cenę, jedliśmy w innym miejscu — otrzymaliśmy dużą porcję obejmującą sałatkę ze świeżych warzyw, grillowane warzywa, regionalny ser z grilla, frytki oraz po dwa napoje.
Przy rozliczeniu za zakwaterowanie doliczono mi również opłatę za dodatkowe kawy do śniadania (kawa była słabej jakości), z czym dotąd się nie spotkałam.
