Very disappointing stay due to the extremely poor cleanliness and unpleasant environment

The apartment was not clean at all. There was hair, dust residue, and dirt everywhere — even popcorn on the floor. It had clearly not been cleaned properly under the chairs, table, or across the floors. Everything looked worn out and neglected. It felt as if the place had not been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time and was in serious need of deep cleaning. When we opened the sofa bed, we found piles of hair, trash, and other unpleasant residue inside it. It was a very disgusting and uncomfortable experience. I complained to the host about the cleanliness, and to make matters worse, he came back the next day to argue with me and even insulted me simply because I told him the apartment was dirty. The apartment is located between two restaurants on a back street, which caused a lot of noise until after 11 PM. There was also constant cigarette smoke coming into the apartment, as the smoke from the restaurant tables outside would drift inside even when the windows were closed. The noise and cigarette smoke made the stay very unpleasant. There were also remains of dead insects scattered all over the floor.

Location was fabulous, right across from the beach and with great access to the best parts of the town

On arrival the door was stuck due to the poor fit, a problem that continually made it difficult to enter and exit. The shower was a bit of an issue as well in that while large and otherwise comfortable, the floor was quite slippery and a probable hazard to some guests. Also the two small receptacles for trash were inadequate for more than a one or two-day stay and made it difficult to utilize and maintain the small kitchen. More disturbingly though was the electrical set up. The only way to keep the electricity on is to remain in the room with the key in a special lock. This makes it exceedingly difficult to 1) launder clothes, 2) simmer things on the stove for extended periods of time while out, 3) keep the temperature of the unit consistent, a natural recommendation when using a heat pump for heating or cooling. These electrical power controls are something we are accustomed to in a hotel, but that is why we rented an entire apartment! Curiously, the night prior to our leaving while busily cleaning the place up and packing, the power was lost for an extended period leaving us in the dark with only our flashlights and a load of wet laundry in the paused washer. Our host rudely reminded us that we had rented an apartment and not a hotel room!

La ubicación cerca de la playa

Mucho ruido por el bar de al lado y los vecinos. La limpieza de las toallas dejaba mucho que desear, se lo comuniqué al dueño y me respondió muy mal. Se lo tomó personalmente. Le dije que para 20€ de suplemento de limpieza las toallas olían al cliente anterior. Y me dijo que si no me interesaba que me buscase otro sitio. Y así hice. Más barato es un hotel y te cambian las toallas cada día.
