About this campground/ rv resort rental
This caboose is a work of love and every bit is used so that it will be comfortable, fun and efficient. It is perfect for a couple or small family. The interior has been refurbished with western red cedar walls, cherry floors, and the original curved wood ceiling. Throughout the caboose are railroad memorabilia including signal lanterns, pictures of cabooses in action, marker lights and information about the history of cabooses. The bedroom has a double captains bed, custom made by Ohio Amish craftsmen with a memory foam mattress and drawers underneath. The bath has a shower with on demand hot water. In the front galley area there is a "daybed" and TV, as well as a small kitchen area. In the hallway is a ladder leading to the cupola, where small children can sleep on mats and sleeping bags. Outside there is a large brick patio with curved rock wall for outside activities. Here you will find a Fire pit for cool evenings, perfect for cooking hot dogs or toasting marshmallows on the patio. There is a gas grill for cookouts and picnic table for meals.

If you are looking for a unique couples' getaway, this Natural Bridge caboose is a great choice. The location is perfect—central to amazing hiking, wineries, breweries, and the historic, walkable downtown Lexington. We had a blast exploring the local museums and shops, and highly recommend breakfast at the Pink Cadillac!The property itself is a tight squeeze (we are a slim 5'9" and 5'4" and had to navigate around each other), but we actually loved how cozy it made our nights, cuddling up on the small couch for movies.The only areas for improvement are the cleaning, pest control, and storage. The cleaning felt a bit rushed, leaving water spots in the shower and an unchanged bug plug-in. There was also a major influx of stink bugs inside. While the manager warned us about bugs, we had to kill quite a few the first two days before they cleared out. Additionally, the property could stand to keep some drawers clear of extra sheets and items. Because the drawers were full, we had to live out of our travel bags, which were too big to store anywhere convenient.Despite these minor flaws, we got incredible photos, great stories, and a wonderful weekend away. We'd definitely recommend it!

If you enjoy unique experiences, this is for you. My father was a conductor on the PRR, so I grew up loving trains. This caboose was a perfect one night stay. Cozy, but comfortable for my husband and I. There are steps from parking to the caboose and steps into the caboose, so if steps are an issue, be aware. Great location to visit Natural Bridge and the surrounding area.
