About this cottage rental
Nestled away on a small, private lake on the outskirts of Batavia lies a hidden treasure... A picture perfect place to get away from all the stresses of modern day life. You will feel like you've escaped to someplace much further away than you actually are - yet options for shopping, dining and entertainment can be found just minutes away. If you love the serenity of waterfont property, but don't love the sounds of jetskis and party boats screaming by all day, then this is the place for you! The Getaway is a freshly remodeled three bedroom, one bath lake house. The master bedroom includes a queen bed and features incredible lake views as well as a sliding door to the lakeside deck. The second bedroom is on the back of the house and also features a queen bed. The third bedroom is a converted sunporch with walls of lake view windows and includes a comfy full size futon. The main entertaining space consists an open concept floorplan with full brand new kitchen open to great room. The great room sectional sofa also includes a pull out bed for overflow sleeping, better suited to kids than adults. A wall of windows allows for incredible lake views day and night.

Our hosts went above and beyond. After too many stays recently in homes that had clearly been purchased by a larger rental company, which ended up being "lipsticked pigs" (IG worthy, but clearly not well thought out for comfort and usability), it was DELIGHTFUL to stay somewhere that was clearly loved. Everything we could need was provided. The view was lovely. Beds were comfortable. Home and yard were immaculate. We felt very much at home, and would love to return sometime soon!Included in the attached photos are the neighbors' adorable pups, whom you may have the pleasure of meeting if you go for a paddle.(If you are planning to arrive after dark, be sure to pay attention to the host's well thought out directions. It is not all that confusing, and not an issue at all in the daytime, but don't expect your GPS to make it clear for you.)

A beautiful place to get away too. Peaceful and quiet spot to relax. Beautiful view of the lake. My family enjoyed spending time at the Lake house. Perfect for a weekend getaway.

Absolutely fantastic cottage set on beautiful lake with everything you need to enjoy the weekend. Super clean and well maintained. All the comforts of home with outside grill, propane fire table to enjoy the deck with lake view. Row boat on the dock made for an easy adventure on the water. Full stocked kitchen. Highly recommend. 10-10. Our family of 5 including 3 teenagers loved it including the well stocked game cabinet. Will look to day again on our next trip to Batavia.

We had a great stay there was definitely pros and cons just like anywhere else you would stay. Only had a couple issues that I wish would have been disclosed prior to me booking and didn't find out till the day of arrival.Cons- *No use of the driveway wasn't disclosed prior.*Stairs to get down to the house that weren't disclosed prior. *Not suited for elderly disabled *Hot water runs out very fast* Road to get to Vrbo full of potholesTechnically not anything the host can do about it just an FYI for future bookings.Pros-* Host was very nice and tried to address any issues that I had upon having them and tried to figure out a solution.*Beautiful house *Very clean *Lots of amenities *Very cozy feel *Area is very quiet neighbors were friendly.
