The stay was comfortable and the room was clean and well-maintained. The overall environment was decent, and the location is convenient for getting around Kolkata. Staff behavior was also polite and helpful.
The main issue was that smoking happens quite frequently inside the property, even in common areas like the veranda. This can be uncomfortable, especially for non-smokers.

We really enjoyed our time at Calcutta Backpackers - the place had a great atmosphere and instantly felt like home. The room was spacious and comfortable, the host was incredibly friendly and accommodating and the chai was a definite highlight (10/10!) ☕😊
Breakfast was very basic and leaned more towards a Western style - we would have definitely preferred Indian options!! The location was also quite far from many of the main sights.

여기 깔끔하고 친절하고 너무 좋네요. 한국분들에게도 추천드려요. 로컬 음식점들도 주변에 많고 베할라 시내까지 나가는 것도 어렵지 않아요. 밀크티도 맛나게 잘 타주시고, 식사는 물론 주류 등도 주문이 가능해요. 선선한 밤엔 옥상에서 한잔 즐기는 것도 추천 드려요~ 잘 쉬다 갑니다. 번창하세요. 가성비 짱~!

Good price and quiet location.
However, the shower boiler didnt work upstairs or downstairs. Mattress was extremely thin.
Location is far from the centre and from most food options
