La situation et le calme. Le confort.
La baignoire sans flexible de douche. Petit aménagement pas cher à prévoir ?
Juste possibilité de bain. Dommage.
Pas top pour les 4 hommes que nous étions et qui donc prenaient leur douche dans la même salle de bain.

Pleasant house in a quiet little estate with parking right outside. A lovely walk at the end of the road. Ideal for children as there is very little traffic. A short car ride into Clifden with its shops, restaurants and cafes. Ideal base for hill walking in the area. The kitchen was well equipped and the washing machine and dishwasher were an added bonus. The host was very pleasant do deal with.
The house could do with updating in places but overall I felt the price reflected this.

Good location. Cottage had a lovely layout with the main bedroom downstairs, making it easily accessible if anyone had mobility issues. Theoretically it also had everything anyone may need for a stay in terms of kitchen equipment and bedding.
We became quite fond of it during our stay.
Unfortunately as we entered the cottage, there was a very stale smell, as if it had not had any fresh air for a long time. We soon stopped that by opening windows and spraying some deo, however, we couldn’t do anything about the exceptionally uncomfortable beds, particularly the main bed with a terribly uncomfortable mattress where the springs groaned if you sat on the bed. The sofas were also very uncomfortable despite looking good. I think the main problem is that the cheapest possible (read “poor quality”) of everything was in every room of the cottage, from the kitchen drawers (very loose) to the cutlery and fridge and TV. Perhaps they are slowly trying to amend this as the washing machine was great!
The bedroom furniture was as bad and the tap in the en suite leaked continuously. The bathroom upstairs has no shower over the bath so my adult son had to use the en suite shower.
I felt that a great opportunity was lost by filling a lovely cottage (good location and layout) with second rate contents. With a little effort and investment this could be a superb cottage but as it is I’d only recommend it if you have few options as it was certainly liveable but not comfortable.
