Amazing location at the heart of the village.

Amazing location at the heart of the village. The local spirit street it is located at. You can see the sea from the terrace.

No WIFI. The furniture is a little worn out and the quality of the mattress could be improved. No access by car. It could be difficult to find parking nearby if you come in peak season.

Threats From the Host

The apartment itself is nice and very well located in the historic city center. But unfortunately, my review is not about the stay — it is about what happened afterwards. At check-in, the host told us to leave the keys and the tourist tax on the table when departing, and not to leave the keys in the door lock. Since we received two keys, I assumed he was talking about the main entrance door of the building. When we checked out, I sent him a message that we were leaving. He replied, “Okay» without any reminders or clarifications. A few hours later, he suddenly started calling and messaging me, saying that we had left a key in the lock of the apartment door (not the building entrance), and that the keys were not placed on the table. He then demanded €150 for a locksmith. In this case: The host did not specify which door he meant. The instruction “leave the keys and €4 tourist tax on the table” was unclear. There was no warning that leaving a key in any door could result in a fine or extra charges. Yes, I did not leave the keys on the table, but the instructions were vague. If something is truly important, the host should clearly highlight it, warn about the consequences, and specify the potential penalties. What also concerns me is that the host contacted me only hours after confirming our checkout without any issue. I cannot be sure whether the situation he described is even real or simply an attempt to obtain extra money, particularly considering the apartment was listed at a significant off-season discount. This is the first time in many many years of using Booking that I have encountered such behavior. The unclear instructions and intimidation from the host.

Very good location!

Not the cleanest, not the comfiest bed either. Ensure you have coins to pay the tourist tax and leave the coins on the table before leaving!
