Great location in the foothills of the Mourne Mountains, easy to find. River nearby. Property itself dated from 1600s, beautifully restored & furnished in keeping with it's original style. Excellent selection of cooking equipment. Was in a small hamlet of 4/5 other similar properties. Host & her daughter made us feel very welcome & our dog loved all the extra fuss & the donation of a stick. Also excellent guide book of local amenities & attractions to visit.
Instructions how to use the oven, heating & hot water, ended up with a cold bath one day but luckily shower was still hot. Also a hoover to sweep up on departure, more efficient than a broom. But these were minor issues & easily rectified.
