Location amazing- really central to everything in Ambleside. Cottage was very quiet, day and at night. Quite well equipped and clean everywhere.
Cottage not ready when we arrived at 4.00pm as work had been done that day. Sawdust all over. Cleaners arrived at same time as us. Finally got in at 5.00pm after waiting in our car outside in the rain. Very disappointing start to our break. Were offered an extra night free of charge but we had commitments which we could not change. No other offer of compensation.
Cottage very difficult to find and parking could be difficult if had a large car.
Outside light not working so very difficult seeing the door lock when coming back in the dark.
Sofa and armchair not comfortable but beds were good.

Reasonably Well appointed, clean, good location. Comfortable beds.
Parking tricky with an Audi a6 estate, but we managed.
Entry to shower tight for a larger person, some may not even be able to get in the shower.
