Great location, beautiful space. High ceilings and pretty decor. Generally private and peaceful. Enough space for a big family. Fairly immaculate and very beautiful. Lovely air conditioning and the choice to eat outside or in.
The location was perfect as a base for Noto, Syracusa, Ortigia, Ragusa, and more. There are so many things to do and see a guide book is a great idea, but also the pool days are very alluring! The space was much larger than we had anticipated, which was really nice - there are olive, lemon, carob, pomelo, pomegranate, cactus, almond and other fruit trees as far as you can see. Herbs and jasmine are planted around the building emitting a beautiful sweet scent as you move around the space. If you're really lucky you might spy a hoopoe! A special place.
A few tweaks - the freezer didn't seem to work properly and the WiFi didn't carry all the way through the property.

The property was overall nice but especially the bathrooms.
Location was perfect, gated estate on the Sicilian countyside. The lush garden with pool and patios were super nice for sunbathing, workouts, kids play, swimming and having dinners outside.
Picking lemons and eating very good fruits off the trees was fun, especially for the kids.
Our first night was a bad experience. First we found a rat hole in the wall and we woke up at 4 AM because a water heater was pouring out water. We did manage to stop the water after a while and the next morning they sent plumbers and a contractor for fixing the heater and the hole.
During the course of the week we had some minor issues like discovering that the freezer did not work (ice cream melted but we had small backup freezer in the annex), the mixer didn't work, toaster did work but was a hazard, the pool skimmer was full of holes. The dishwasher did work but was very small for a party of 9. It had broken parts inside so that the dishes couldn't be stacked properly and even if we did not fill it the dishes didn't get clean.
There was a grill but it was so small that we didn't bother to use it.
The garbage needed to be sorted (no problem except for that the "stray" dogs took what they could during the night if the garbage was left outside in the sorting bins) and driven to a municipal garbage station. About 7-10 min drive.
Roosters crow from early morning and dogs are barking all night. Lots of dogs around and they come asking for food. Part of the countryside charm but warning if you are not into it. Also BIG warning if you do not like lizards, they are cute and in thousands. Mostly outside but also inside of you let the doors open.
It was a very thorough house manual but there was little weight behind the words. It said that the pool and garden should be maintained every Saturday morning. This did not happen.
It said they wanted info if anything was broken or did not work during the stay.
They had no interest in our feedback.
It said that check-in was 15.00 and check-in 10.00 but "please ask if diverse needs"...
They are not open to "diverse needs"
