Very unpleasant experience, I would not recommend

The only positive aspect was the location — Mengeš is a lovely area with a beautiful forest nearby. However, the apartment itself was far from what was advertised.

Our experience at Mali Raj was unfortunately very disappointing. The listing stated the apartment was 40 sqm, but in reality it felt closer to 15 sqm. The bedroom had only a sliding door, which provided almost no sound isolation, so every noise from the living room could be heard clearly in the bedroom. My 3 year old daughter was sleeping in bedroom and woke up by every sound we made in the living room. Most of the photos on Booking highlight the beautiful garden and swimming pool, but when we arrived, the pool was empty and not functioning. The garden is also communal and used daily by the owners and guests from the other apartments, which was not clear from the listing. We were traveling with two dogs, and the garden rules required dogs to remain on leash at all times and dogs cannot pee in the garden. Unfortunately, during one of our walks nearby, a Malamute from a neighboring house attacked our dogs. My female dog was bitten badly and later needed veterinary treatment and physiotherapy. After that incident, our dogs became afraid to go for walks in the area. So the garden made no sense for us to use! The apartment also lacked several amenities that were listed on Booking. There was no dishwasher and no washing machine, making long stays very inconvenient. The shower was extremely narrow, and the bed was too small and uncomfortable, especially for my husband who is over 2 meters tall. Also there is no cleaning - you clean yourself, and if you request new sheets and towels, they will be provided, else not. We had originally booked the apartment for 4 weeks but left after the second week because we simply could not continue staying there. We eventually found a much nicer house with a private garden and very welcoming hosts. I honestly do not understand the very positive reviews. For us, this stay was extremely stressful and uncomfortable. What was presented as a peaceful getaway unfortunately turned into a very negative experience.

Très bon séjour en famille. Le logement est très propre, bien équipé. Il donne sur une petite terrasse commune et sur un magnifique jardin. Piscine très bien entretenue, jardin aménagé avec goût et ruisseau au bout du jardin. Nos hôtes ont été d'une grande gentillesse, très réactifs pour rendre service. Endroit idéalement situé pour découvrir la Slovénie. Nous recommandons cet endroit!

Manque de rangements dans la chambre pour valises et vêtements. Il faudrait également des rideaux occultants dans le salon et la cuisine pour la nuit.
