Lovely ans clean bathroom and bedroom, instantly felt like home away from home and would stay here again!
I felt there were a few things missing to make it more comfortable like a plug for the bath or kitchen roll/cooking oil/ more dish soap, that kind of thing as I did have to go out to get tin foil and a few extra house bits.
Not the hosts fault at all but the neighbours dog did seem to urinate by the entrance of the property which wasn't nice in the summers heat but not the fault of the host.

A nice little spot. Generally good facilities. Excellent central location, though parking is a challenge in Brixham (inherent to the town). Quiet and peaceful. Comfy bed. Plenty of storage space.
Was a little more challenging to get responses from the host than ideal; think there’s an AI automated response system, but got a reply after a few messages.
Had to fiddle around to turn things on e.g. hot water, radiators, oven had some sort of lock on it that meant we couldn’t use the top oven until we reset it which we had to Google.
Cushions on the sofa need a good wash or replacing.
Leak coming from the bath so one tile has a puddle underneath it in the bathroom.
Could use a few more facilities like hand soap; when you’ve travelled far to get somewhere, you want to wash your hands properly, especially in cold and flu season. No baking trays for the oven.

The location in Brixham is second to none, only a few minutes walk from the harbour. There are 2 flights of steps between us and the harbour area, but they were not too bad. The feature window is the best thing about the flat, giving a lovely bright view of the town, and if you look sideways - a side view of the harbour and even a glimpse of the sea. A clean window would have been appreciated, it wasn't terrible but there was a few marks and smudges on it.
The shower was brand new and excellent, it looks like the bathroom has been recently redecorated. There is everything you need in the flat and the kitchenette had what we needed, although we never needed to cook a full meal there. I liked that there were lamps in the living area and bedroom. We also found the tourism leaflets useful.
Parking is not ample, and the lanes in this area are narrow, but we found nearby, free street parking on the 2 days we visited mid-week.
Our first impressions weren't great. The front door is down some narrow stairs and the area in front of the front door was dirty with some rubbish in it. The code provided for the key safe wasn't the right one, we had to phone up to get the correct one. However, our call was answered promptly by a real person and we got the correct key code quickly. We also arrived 1 hour before the check-in time which was not flagged as an issue which we appreciated.
The flat is clean and comfortable but feels a bit tired. For example the blinds in the bedroom are damaged. There is also a musty smell which was alleviated when we opened the feature window.
There was a bathtub in the bathroom, but there were no taps, so it could not be used as a bath, which was disappointing. There appeared to be no hot water from the kitchen sink taps, meaning we had to boil a kettle to wash up. Neither was there hot water from the bathroom basin taps. However, neither of these were big issues for us.
