About this cottage rental

Nestled in the hamlet of Penwortham in the heart of the Clare Valley this quaint, unique cottage (circa 1896) is set well back from the main road. Magpie Lane Cottage is situated only metres from the Riesling Trail. Drive, cycle or walk to some of the best winery cellar doors and restaurants the beautiful Clare Valley has to offer. Enjoy the abundant birdlife (including Bob, our resident magpie) and watching sunsets from the deck in this peaceful and tranquil setting.

Magpie Lane Cottage was beautiful accomodation and in a great spot along the Reisling trail. Communication from the host was excellent and we felt very welcome on arrival. Highly recommended.

We had a very relaxing stay, Gary and Deanne could not have made our stay any better.The location of the cottage on the Riesling trial was ideal for us cycling around the area.The cottage is very well equipped and stylishly done.
