About this house rental
Enjoy a relaxing stay in a this comfortable 3-bedroom. 2 bath home located in the town of Lansing at the foot of Mt. Hosmer and with a bird's eye view of the main channel of the Mississippi River. Watch the river life from the living room, dining room or upstairs bedroom, or enjoy a walk up the hillside trails or down to the all the shops and restaurants that Lansing has to offer. Through 2026 you can also take advantage of the free (car and pedestrian) ferry to cross between Iowa and Wisconsin. The Driftless Center, Effigy Mounds National Monument, Yellow River State Park, and boat rentals are all only a short drive away. Sleeps 6-8, central air + mini splits in each of upstairs bedrooms. Minimum stay 2 nights. Single night requests will be considered on a case by case basis.

Spacious home with amazing views! As soon as we pulled up to the drive (on a peaceful dead end street) we had a beautiful view of the Mississippi and the Black Hawk bridge just below the wrap-around deck! Before we even entered the home, our friends as if we could reserve it for next summer! The home was just as photos showed, very spacious with all kitchen & bath amenities, clean & cozy! Bedrooms were very comfortable. We spent mornings & evenings on the deck watching the progress of the Black Hawk Bridge being replaced! The free ferry going across to WI was also a fun feature with our Harleys! We hoped to be back during Fall with our kids to enjoy! 5 Star rental!!

The house is really spacious, comfortable beds, nice big kitchen and amazing views of the Mississippi river from the deck.

Jean checked on us several times to make sure everything was fine. She has done a great job with the property. The house was clean, organized, and just great for us. Kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of room to house our family to eat together. Beds were very comfortable and it was easy to sleep. The overlook of the river is a great view. We definitely would recommend this house and will stay again.

Didn’t know anyone lived in the house. We didn’t come in contact with them but that would’ve been nice to know prior to booking. House smells musty. Hair from someone else in the bathroom and on towels. Place to sleep.
