Location was great and very scenic. Excellent landscaping and sustainably focus where the resort blended beautifully with nature.
I'm not the one to expect a red carpet and don't care about a fake sense of feeling important, but I didn't feel welcome at all, reception needs to be a lot more lively and welcoming, engaging. I understand it is a very tough job and difficult to please everyone, but reception clearly need training, because it was very rushed to pay (even though it was very quiet) , not asked what bungalow I would like from what's available with different views or options, I was rushed to pay and given the worst option, yalla sign here this is what you call if you have issues this ks what you call for food and the pool opens from this time and restaurant closes this time. It is also important to tell the guest what amenities the resort has in full (spa, heated pool, etc), sit down with the guest at least and make them feel like they're coming home, special packs for couples at the spa, etc.
So what is the worst option I mentioned above: I paid top dollar for a deluxe bungalow and was given a dirty one with the jacuzzi closed and it was very visibly dirty inside, the helper casually said no problem we can come clean it for you, my friend you should ask me at the reception if you would like the jacuzzi set up and up and running and ready to be switched on if I'm paying 390$ a night... Are you serious? Wala yhemmak we'll come clean it for you? Ya 3ammi katter khayrak 😂
Then when I asked to change the room, I was given the one next to it which had guests inside it, I could hear people talking inside and asked the staff member, ARE YOU SURE this one is empty? He insisted it is until he knocked on the door and guests came out, very comical moment on check in standing outside with our bags searching for a room we can stay in 😂 Then I was given the one next to it and the floor was dirty as well, if you see dead bees on the floor corners you know this place was never really decently cleaned in between guests. The bed had visibly walking bed bugs as well.
