What we loved most about Riverview House was the peace, scenery and tranquillity. Being surrounded by the forest and nature made it such a relaxing place to stay — it really felt like an escape from the busy day-to-day.
The house itself was very comfortable and accommodating, and we felt genuinely at home during our stay. But one of the things we will remember most are the dogs. We dearly miss them right now! 🐶❤️ They kept us company and somehow became part of the whole experience.
They even joined us on a hike and, believe it or not, guided us when we got lost! 😂 We would be standing there wondering where on earth we were supposed to go, look up, and there they'd be waiting for us like, “Come on, keep up!” 😂 It was honestly such a special and unexpected memory.
The beautiful forest surroundings, the quietness, the incredible scenery and the warmth of the place made Riverview House somewhere we really enjoyed. It was peaceful, welcoming and felt like a proper break — and the dogs definitely made it even more memorable.
We would happily come back. ❤️
If we had to find something we didn’t like, it would honestly be having to leave! 😂
We also didn’t take full advantage of the fact that we were told we could check out anytime on the Sunday. That is such a rare and generous thing to find these days, and looking back, we definitely should have stayed longer and enjoyed every last minute.
And, of course, saying goodbye to the dogs was probably the hardest part. We got far too attached! 🐶❤️
So, in all honesty, our biggest regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Next time, we definitely will!

View is stunning with the fresh air - could not get tired of it. Fireplace and heated beds were amazing in the winter. Lovely markets on the weekend, delicious lunch at Mojo Café, and we had some beautiful dogs visit us and guide us on the property's trails. Communication was smooth with the hosts as they were one message away. Thank you for having us!
We would recommend a great 3 night stay. Property is perfect for a long weekend getaway to decompress and detach from work and online (they do have WiFi and smart TV though). Not completely secluded, but feels like you are. Would recommend a visit!

We had a terrific stay. The house is amazing, with lots of care taken to make it extra comfortable and enjoyable. From very cozy, heated beds to games/books for entertainment, to various cooking appliances (incl. gas grill and outside braai), outdoor paths, hot tub and especially breathtaking views - there is too much to rave about at Riverview House.
Our thanks to the hosts for being attentive, helpful and very welcoming.
