The cottage was lovely, clean and had everything we needed. We wanted somewhere we could stay privately with a family room, prepare our own breakfast and make a packed lunch for days out. The location was perfect, situated between several places we wanted to visit. The host came to meet us too and was very friendly. There were lots of cows in the fields around us, it was very peaceful. I have added photos to show how lovely the Cottage is (please ignore the few personal items like teddies/hand fan etc.), we had a great stay.
I would say that due to the Cottage being located down a country lane, it wouldn't be easy to walk to a nearby pub or restaurant, unless you are into hiking. The lane had minimal lighting and the hill was quite steep so navigating it at night would be a bit of a struggle. However, this did not affect us as we drove everywhere and the Cottage was comfortable enough to relax on an evening. I would recommend having a few more power sockets near the TV as there wasn't any available for my son to plug in his games console, but this was not a huge problem.

Everything. Beautiful deco, nice tv, fireplace with an extreme amount of wood (which we didn't use due to the weather, but we could have lit it for two weeks and would still have wood left), beds slightly hard but fresh and crisp.
Shower pressure is dramatic.

Oak Cottage is a very stylish and comfortable property. The views are beautiful and there are some great circular walks from the doorstep.

Made very welcome, accommodation clean, warm and cosy, plenty of wood for log burner. Could not fault the cottage.
