I really enjoyed my stay at Chew View. It was super clean, and the apartment is really spacious. I loved that the view is of the sunset, and we watched the eclipse from the balcony! I also loved that planes taking off from Bristol fly over your head, which, by the way, aren't too noisy. There are two bathrooms and a bunch of outlets in really helpful, strategic spots. There was a double one right by the mirror in the bedroom, which was awesome for my hairdryer and styling my hair, while in the bathroom there's only an outlet for a shaver. The place was absolutely perfect and super reasonably priced. The information provided by the owner was very detailed and helpful.
Due to the heatwave and unusually warm temperatures, the house was very hot inside, but luckily we brought our own fan from home.The thermostatic bar shower mixer was a bit tricky to use, but once you found the right temperature, it was fine. Here's a tip: turn left for cold, right for warm, then use the smaller wheel (with the hot/cold signs) to fine-tune it. Just turn it slowly, a little at a time, and wait 3 seconds, don't crank it all the way. Oh, and there was a strong farm smell from the muck spreading, but that's understandable since it's a rural area and farming is important.
