The school bus was a real, one of a kind experience. The conversion to accomodation from a school bus has been executed to a really high standard. The best bit for us was the king size bed! And the bedding, also a well stocked kitchen with all the utensils you need.

Just for clarity, we felt that the ad implied that there was a private hit tub, we understand this to be an issue with how booking.com is using AI. There is a wellness area on site which was beautiful.

Original and quirky. Good facilities and friendly staff

The school bus was so cool, the kids loved it and so did us adults. The location was perfect, the staff were lovely and the facilities were top notch! Cooper the dog and the 2 cats were an absolute hit also. We had the best time. The farmhouse shop and cafe were superb, the pizza’s 😝 YUM! The showers and toilets were clean and easily accessible. The beaches are less than a 10 minute drive and so many to choose from, we were spoilt for choice. But I would highly recommend you drive to Lee Bay, park up at the National trust car park and walk the trek to Sandy Cove… wow! Worth the small trek, trust me. I would highly recommend this place, we came away loving it and made some amazing memories with our children.

At absolutely no fault of the owners but I do feel like I could be saving a select few some heartache and trauma. If you have a fear of spiders, this is not for you. It cannot be helped due to location and, well… it’s glamping! But the bus has a lot of 8 legged residents, sounds so minor but i know it would be trauma for someone, so thought I’d give it a mention. My kids were in tears and wouldn’t sleep in their intended beds but we soon got over it.

Our stay at American School Bus Glamping was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the quality of the accommodation – the bus has been thoughtfully converted into a cosy, stylish space with everything a family could need for a comfortable stay. It strikes the perfect balance between quirky glamping and modern comfort. The service was fantastic – warm, friendly, and attentive without ever being intrusive. The owner was super helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. What really makes this place special is how relaxing and family-friendly it is. The peaceful surroundings and open space gave us the perfect chance to switch off, unwind, and spend proper quality time together. Our kids (and us alike) had an absolute blast on the zip wire, and the hot tub and sauna were a real treat – the perfect way to end a day of exploring. We left feeling refreshed and full of happy memories – highly recommended for any family looking for a unique glamping experience in North Devon!
