Stayed here as a solo traveler and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. The owner was fantastic - genuinely fun, entertaining, and made sure everyone felt included from day one. It's rare to find a host who actually takes the time to hang out, share stories, and make solo travelers feel like part of a group rather than just another guest. The place itself was clean and comfortable, but honestly what made it special was the vibe - good energy, easy to meet other travelers, and always something going on in the common area. If you're traveling solo and want a place that feels social without being overwhelming, this is it.

I stayed here for 3 nights, and honestly, it was one of the best stays I’ve had. For the price they offer, the rooms are probably among the best you can get in Gokarna. The property is surrounded by what feels like a little jungle, which gives the place such a calm, peaceful, and refreshing vibe. It’s a perfect place to slow down and enjoy a more relaxed side of Gokarna. Plus you get to play with pet dogs and cats here for free❤️ But what truly makes Aangan special are the hosts — Siddhant, Geetika, and Mo. There’s honestly not enough I can say about them. They are some of the most cheerful, welcoming, and helpful people you can meet in Gokarna. They genuinely make you feel at home, and they are easily among the best hosts I’ve ever met anywhere I’ve travelled. And here’s the best part — if you get along with them, I can almost guarantee you’ll get to discover some of the best hidden spots in and around Gokarna to watch the sunset, sunrise, and the sea. They know the place so well, and getting recommendations from them can make your Gokarna experience so much more special. You also absolutely have to try the food at their café! Everything I had was delicious, but my personal recommendations would be the Creamy Coriander Chicken, Chicken Gokarna, and Chicken Curry. Definitely worth trying even if you’re not staying here. Overall, Aangan is a combination of great value, peaceful surroundings, amazing food, and genuinely wonderful people. If you’re visiting Gokarna, I would definitely recommend staying here. 5/5 without a doubt. Would happily come back! ❤️

It is a beautiful spot, close to nature and away from crowded places. The trees inside makes it even more beautiful.

I visited during the rainy season, so I had a bit of an issue with mosquitoes, but otherwise, everything was great.i think the owner Will be doing something about the mosquitoes 😄

The room was good, old style, and the location, close to the bus stop and temple and beach too by auto, walkable too, host was really good, and the food was fine too

I didn't expect the washroom to be a common washroom for my individual room taken. But, the host said it was due to old style concept but still the common WASHROOM could be a lot better, I give it 2.5 to 3, they should really look into it
