A nightmare in Naples: disgusting, unsafe, and illegal extortion

The only positive thing was leaving this apartment alive and without catching parasites. Naples is an amazing and beautiful city that saved our vacation despite this horrible place.

Avoid this place at all costs! The booking confirmation clearly stated that all taxes were included. On arrival, the host demanded extra cash for tourist tax. When I refused, he kicked my family and me out into the street. I was forced to pay just to have a roof over our heads. The host completely ignores all complaint messages. The bedsheets were dirty and stained. The kitchen utensils were filthy, neglected, and covered in limescale. The apartment is full of mosquitoes. We were bitten every single day. There were dead mosquitoes smashed on the walls. Ants were everywhere: they eat anything that falls on the floor, and they live inside the kitchen cabinets. With this level of neglect, bedbugs are just a matter of time. The toilet seat was broken. The hairdryer holder was loose and falling apart. The shower is so tiny that it is impossible to bend down to wash your feet. The freezer was filled with a massive block of ice because it was never cleaned. I had to leave it open for a whole day and literally chop the ice with a knife just to close it. It was filthy inside. This was the most disgusting stay of my entire life. I would not return here even if they paid me. Horrible host, zero maintenance, and zero hygiene.
