Ellis, who welcomed us, was the most lovely! The rooms itself is aesthetically beautiful, but very simple. No “kitchen amenities” (not even a kettle for tea or a corkscrew.) Ellis to the rescue with an ice bucket!
The room is above a cocktail club, and while we were fine with the volume, as we sleep with white noise and a portable fan anyway, there are others who may not have been able to. It also seriously needs blackout curtains because it was like napping in the sun at night.
The room also faces the promenade, which is convenient, but also means the porch is in direct sun all day, and there isn’t a patio umbrella or awning provided, so unless you want to bake, it’s unusable during the day. In the evening, there are super bright lights which the guest can’t control, so unless you like sitting under a bright spotlight, it’s pretty unusable in the evening as well.
The bathtub in the photos is there, but the window it faces is the promenade, so unless you’re an exhibitionist…no gazing at the ocean as you bathe, that’s a vision, not reality.
Again, for the right guests, this would be great for a night or two, but if you prefer quiet, dark rooms without loads of people 24/7, just heed the photos carefully and think it through. Nothing in their description was misleading, but it’s really important to heed the other reviews which help fill in the gaps.
Just not the right fit for how we travel, so we left a night early.

Great location on the beach with a brunch/coffee/cocktail bar below.
The view from the balcony was literally of another building/balcony which we could almost touch..! But we knew we had not booked a sea view.

Sfeer van de kamer en de locatie
Zelf niet goed opgelet. Geen ontbijt en geen parkeerplaats. Parkeerplaats vlakbij 15 euro per dag. Geen bedjes en of parasol aan het strand.
Als de andere kamer ging douchen was er veel geluid.

Perfect gelegen vlak aan het strand aan de promenade. Mooi afgewerkt en zeer goede bedden. Flesjes water in de koelkast. Goed-werkende airconditioning.
De locatie is mooi, maar de foto’s op Booking.com geven een vertekend beeld. Kamers mét vrijstaand bad en zeezicht worden afgewisseld met kamers die daar ver van verwijderd zijn — zoals onze kamer 104, die geen noemenswaardig raam heeft en uitkijkt op het naastgelegen hotel.
De enige lichtbron is een enkele deur met een geblindeerd raam naar een klein terrasje. Die afscherming is begrijpelijk: de afstand tot de buren van het aanpalende hotel is zo klein dat je elkaar letterlijk de hand zou kunnen schudden. Maar het maakt de kamer somber en claustrofobisch.
Daarnaast was er geen ontbijtmogelijkheid — zelfs geen koffiezetapparaat op de kamer. En hoewel het ontvangstmeisje vriendelijk en behulpzaam was, kwamen de overige medewerkers nogal nors over. Mogelijk een taalbarrière, maar het gevoel van gastvrijheid ontbrak.
