I very much appreciated my host couple providing a GF breakfast. It was a spacious accommodation with off-street parking and furnished to complement the vintage of the handsome house.
The weather stayed cold, so I could have done with a quilt or extra blankets.

Great location. The host(s) was available and appropriately communicable. Bed was very comfortable and the extra bedding provided was required as it was in the middle of winter and cold - additional comforter and blanket. The pictures were true. Very clean - including the condition of the rooms, bedding and the kitchen equipment. The decor was stepping back in time - included in this 'like' section as it was unexpected. The veranda faced west so the lounge and entrance was sunny in the afternoon. I stayed mid July 2026 for 3 nights.
A shower box (large!) would be better than the existing wet area, open shower, as the water is not contained by the curtain or fall of the floor towards the drain. Therefore the bathroom floor, as warned by the host, gets wet very easily. As a guest I had to use the flannel provided to wipe the floor each time the shower was used.
The unit is cold in the winter when I occupied it and it was sunny, but in the shade it was cold and mornings and evenings were cold. Could do with a heat pump. The electric heaters provided barely meant the unit was warm. No heated towel rail so towels continually damp. I acknowledge improvements may mean a higher price.

Spacious lounge, good facilities and excellent library. A very nice continental breakfast.
Bed was smaller than we are used to but appreciate that a bigger bed wouldn’t be possible.
