I stayed at Julley Ladakh Homestay from August 30th to September 11th, and it was an absolutely wonderful, unforgettable experience. Travelling from 3,000 kilometres away, I was a bit apprehensive, but from the moment I arrived, I felt completely at home. The food here is a major highlight—totally organic, home-cooked, incredibly tasty, and infused with an authentic Ladakhi essence. Every single meal felt like a warm embrace.A massive, special thanks goes to the owner, Stanzin bhai! He is the absolute heart of this place. Stanzin is the ultimate one-stop solution for anything you need. He balances a stellar level of professionalism with a deeply warm, friendly nature, and he is always ready to assist you at any given point. If you want a genuine, comfortable, and peaceful Ladakhi experience, look no further. I would recommend this beautiful homestay in the lap of nature blindly!

We had multiple wonderful stays at Julley Ladakh Homestay. Every time during our trip in Ladakh we were welcomed as part of the family and we were made feel at home. The room was very comfortable and very spacious, the balcony with a great view, hot shower at all times, the location perfect because it was quiet. But the best place was the cosy kitchen/dining room and the garden full of flowers where we could spend time with our hosts enjoying their heavenly cooking, conversations and the home atmosphere they create with such ease. Nothing was too difficult for them to arrange for us, no time in the morning was too early to prepare breakfast. We will never forget their amazing hospitality, warmth, smiles, genuine interest in our endevaours and problems and kindness that goes beyond any imagination.

Stanzin and his family are very helpful and friendly. He was available whenever we needed anything. He even took us to the shop close by on the first day when it was raining. We had nice home cooked meals with the family and it was plain yet very delicious (vegetables fresh from their kitchen garden.
I only had one request even before I arrived that I get a clean room and a clean washroom. The room was amazing and spacious but the kitchen area was very dirty with tid bits of food all over the counter from the previous residents. The sink was dirty and so were the drawers. Because I had booked this place for 4 days, and I needed a clean space I scrubbed the sink, counter, cooking gas, drawers etc myself. There was food left overs (raw food) from the previous guests in the drawers. The bathroom sink was dirty, used soap from previous visitors was in the bathroom soap case. We cleaned the sink ourselves to make it useable for us for 4 days.
One small improvement that can be made is a clothes line on the roof top with some pins to dry washed clothes.
