A comfortable and convenient place to stay with a wonderful host

The host Agnostina was so friendly and welcoming. She brought us grapes from her garden and left us port and biscuits, so kind. The property was clean and comfortable and well equipped and located close to the old town with some breathtaking views close by. Convenient for visiting Pinhao. Easy parking outside the property

Very nice property, I recommend

The property is situated on 2 floors, with an interior staircase. The living, kitchen and service bathroom are on ground floor and bedroom and master bathroom on first floor. The kitchen is fully equipped and you even have a small bottle of Port wine to taste. We could park for free in front of the property, no reservation needed.

The rooms were very cold when we arrived (March 2025) and we turned on the AC on heating. It took some time to get warm.

Terrific apartment in lovely small town in stunning area of Douro Valley

Host doesn't speak much English, and we don't speak much Portuguese but google translate managed any extra bits just fine. Host lived next door. Host very helpful prior to arrival date, and on arrival date, allowing us to meet her early and settle in. The apartment is split with the bedroom and ensuite being upstairs and the kitchen, dining/lounge and a 2nd toilet. Equipment to cook with (and we did). Air con worked well. Free internet worked well. Lots of power points upstairs and downstairs. Washing machine was a blessing (is in a cupboard under the stairs). Comfy big bed. We managed to park right outside both nights, and if we hadn't, then there was a car park very close by. Very easy walking into old town with shops and a small supermarket nearby. If you have your own transport, it is in a very scenic area of the Douro Valley and for doing day trips to various other locations.

This was not an issue for us and no points deducted from our review score - is more just a note for those with mobility issues; this apartment does involve walking up a set of stairs to get to the 2nd floor bedroom & ensuite. In terms of the town's location, you really need your own transport to make the most of the surroundings.

Casinha super confortável, cozinha equipada com tudo, tem AC, super limpo. Não possui estacionamento, mas facilmente se estaciona em frente ou nas redondezas. Adorei tudo.
