Beautiful quiet location, super relaxing and exceptional breakfast! The hosts were so welcoming and made us feel at home. There was a heatwave whilst we were there and they provided us with a fan - though the room stayed quite cool anyway. The room was very comfortable. We loved our stay and would love to return in the future. Thank you both!

Slow travel at its finest! We only ended up in this corner of the French countryside because we were attending a French-Nigerian wedding nearby, but now we're already thinking of returning just to slow down and enjoy the place and surrounding areas.
Hélène and Frédéric really stand out as hosts - we've travelled A LOT and have never encountered hosts so warm and genuinely interested in talking to and spending time with their guests. Even though their English is limited, they always made the effort to understand and communicate with us, and we got along brilliantly - lots of smiles and laughter along the way! They went out of their way to help us throughout our 4-night stay, whether it was adjusting our breakfast time, lending us phone cables (we forgot our adapters!) or ironing our wedding guest outfits.
The house and surrounding garden are sooo charming, with dreamy French countryside vibes throughout. The colourful interiors of the rooms and communal areas have been thoughtfully and artistically put together by the hosts (check out their son's travel photography book about his trip to Japan; he's super talented!), and there are lovely little touches like organic, yummy-smelling shower gel and a refreshing face mist in the bathroom.
We looked forward to homemade breakfast every morning. Mostly organic, local products like madeleines, croissants with honey and jam, an array of breads, cheeses, granola, yoghurt, and fruit. Afterwards, we'd take a little walk around the village and surrounding countryside - so serene!
On our last day, we visited the charming village of Clisson nearby; highly recommend it as a half-day trip!
Nothing, really! Just one tiny thing to note: the shower in our room was handheld, so washing your hair takes a bit longer than usual. ;-)
