Sadly, Sorel is too expensive for what it is. It's obvious it used to be amazing but it's in need of a maintenance team and general refreshing. The rooms are clean but old. The hotel is seriously understaffed (one poor waiter in the restaurant) and the front desk staff is hit or miss. There are lightbulbs out all around the property and everything needs a fresh coat of paint.
The daily expeditions, scenery and location of the hotel are great and why I'm giving the hotel 4 stars instead of 3.
We did the Canyonlands tour, UTV tour and horseback riding. All of the staff running those activities were fantastic and are working hard. We didn't receive any services from the spa and can't speak to that.

Beautiful if rustic property. Very quiet and peaceful early in the spring. Would recommend for anyone looking for a bit of an oasis outside of Moab.

This resort was exceptional. The river rooms had a world famous view with amazing areas to sit and enjoy. The food is amazing and the service supreme. The ranch was very informative with tons of animals to visit. We did a trail ride on horseback that was spectacular. This is a great value and we can’t wait to return. Easy access to town with a wonderful drive in and out. We love Moab, the stars and The Sorrell Ranch. Thank you for your hospitality!!
