The hotel has a lot of renovation work at the moment; most of it is blocked off from the functioning party of the hotel.

Bedroom was lovely and exceptionally clean,only thing was that mattress was very uncomfortable and thin quilt for winter,although room was extremely warm throughout night
Dinner was absolutely lovely with a great carvery meal.that you can go for more ,but I had plenty
Staff extremely helpful and nothing was a bother
Hotel 5 mins from town centre and ferry terminus
Weather was beautiful,you must take a walk around castle grounds and the creed,wonderful

Really friendly staff, great location with loads of parking. Really nice rooms and the carvery is a must.
