Hotel Royal Victoria was an overall wonderful experience. Varenna was crowded with tourists but our refuge was the Hotel, its relaxed vibe, comfortable rooms, and its superior staff. Whatever we needed, it was taken care of: Hard to get dinner reservations, shuttle rides to difficult locations, accurate guidance for the ferry system, etc. The morning breakfast was outstanding and the pizzas at The Grill were delicious. Room view overlooking the lake and Belaggio was icing on the cake each day when we returned from our ventures around the lake. Grazie Mille!

One of the nicest hotels I think I’ve ever stayed at, and the staff went above and beyond to help. My husband left his sunglasses in the restaurant and while we were waiting for the ferry they actually sent them down with a shuttle for him, which was so helpful because we were going to Bellagio for a couple days. The pool is stunning. It was so nice. There’s very few places with pools there so it was great to sit out there in the afternoon. It was so hot. We didn’t eat there so I’m not sure about the food, but you couldn’t find a nicer hotel great location. You walk out the front door and there was restaurants and everything right there. I think you can actually go down to the water too it looks like they have a little beach out in front. We didn’t do that either but it looks like you could do that. I’d stay there if you could.
