We loved our stay, the hotel had minor construction going on (till June 1st) but it still was a lovely stay. The property is in a quiet location close to many great restaurants, shopping, casino and the French Quarter. If you want character and a moody yet elegant New Orleans vibe the Eliza Jane does not disappoint. We enjoyed our magazine street view, and watching the second line at two weddings across the street. It can get a little noisy if facing the venue when traffic backs up but that did not affect us at all, we enjoyed watching the people and hearing the music. Couvant had musicians playing in the restaurant Friday and Saturday and both sets were so good, we truly appreciate that special touch. Staff were all friendly, helpful and kind. Special shout out to JP the bartender who made pretty mocktails for my teens who had a ball taking aesthetic pictures everywhere on site, especially the courtyard. Valet parking was so helpful during the rainy weekend. Our room was clean, with a mini fridge and coffee maker but no microwave. A steamer was provided but no iron or ironing board. The steamer did a great job though, and there is laundry services available if needed. I would absolutely come back and stay here, I would love to see it when all construction is done. The vibe and moody yet elegant decor, the excellent location, the friendly staff who go above and beyond, the spacious and clean rooms, free drink tokens, great value, and live music were a hit for us.

The staff was amazing!
Maid service was a little behind on delivering needed items to the rooms, but they were nice and accommodating, if asked.
The bartenders rocked and made the whole experience amazing.

We booked this hotel in December through Expedia for a May stay in New Orleans. As we got closer to our travel date, I checked Expedia to see how the rates had changed. Since they had decreased significantly, I called Expedia and tried to get a match. They were not willing to do that so I rebooked the hotel on my own at the cheaper rate. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful (the front desk - shout out to Orrione, the bartender, the housekeepers, the concierge, and others). We received credits for daily drinks and streetcar fares. But ultimately what appealed most to us was the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. We had no problems that were under the control of the Eliza Jane staff. One morning we did hear some street construction noise. We walked everywhere and only used Ubers to and from the airport. This is a great, safe location (coffee shops nearby - we liked 4th Wall) that is far enough from Bourbon Street, but not too far to walk there if you wish.

Enjoyed our stay! The room lighting was dark and one of the elevators was out. Other than that, the room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Valet was prompt. Great customer service!
