Top of the line this is a 5 Star hotel, from the clean building, to the nicest staff, to the best breakfast I have ever eaten at a hotel.
The newly renovated building is awesome and the kids love the new basketball court outside.
The gas fire pit was lite when we returned from dinner at the Mall across the street from shopping.
Our family sat around the fire pit outside and enjoyed the hotel with pure relaxation.
Some family enjoyed the inside clean pool & I chose the fire pit and a nice glass of wine.
We opt for the first floor and we did not hear anything as far as noise so I will always stay on the first floor.
Thank you Residence Inn for making my visit a very easy & happy visit to Virginia for my nephews graduation at ODU.
The trip was well worth it coming from Dallas, NC!

The AC in our King bed with pull out sofa bed room was terrible. Temperature could not be controlled. Wall thermostat was almost unusable. Expedia stated a $100 pet fee when I booked, but I was charged $150. In addition, there was no mention of a daily parking fee of $5.30 when I booked or at check-in. We left a day early and I understand we would not be refunded that last night even though we did not stay there, but we were also charged that parking fee for a parking space we did not use.
The AC in the main entrance was not working for 5 of the 6 days we were there, which was not an issue personally, but is an indication of the maintenance of the facility. Lastly, the toilet seat was so loose it was unusable. I tightened it myself and did not ask for maintenance. Won't stay there again.
