Beautiful setting

The setting was beautiful, and it was charming to sit outside by the fireplace in the evening.
I was hoping that the staff would be more helpful in organizing trips to the temples, which they were not. Yes, they could explicitly book a guide/travel, but it was way overpriced ($110 for a half-day - Lonely Planet indicates $30). They also had no suggestions for how to best organize the visits, which can be daunting with such a grand complex as Angkor.
The food was horrible, which, in the end, combined with the remote location, was the worst aspect for us. While we had planned to spend more days relaxing at the resort, we felt that eating there was unacceptable, and with no options nearby (and 40 minutes drive into town), we ended up cancelling our last night and booking a new hotel in town instead.
