Holiday Inn Express & Suites Kingsville by IHG

Everything about the property was fine. It is the Expedia experience needs improvement. First, I made a two room reservation for two (2) nights. The folks that were to stay there could not make it the first day. I tried contacting Expedia through customer service and that didn’t go very well. The telephonic menu in trying to get to the right person to resolve the issue was problematic, and I just couldn’t get through. When the parties arrived the second day, it was learned that the reservation was all together canceled. I had paid for the two day stay in advance. A new reservation needed to be made and paid with a different credit card. At the end of the day, the reservation was paid twice. One to Expedia and one directly to the hotel. I will be calling Expedia tomorrow and try to negotiate an arrangement. I have used Expedia for a number of years and nothing like this has happened before.

Staff very courteous. Food was delicious, rooms were excellent.

Staff was very kind. Room was comfortable and clean. The room had everything we needed.

The staff at this hotel are great. The hotel itself is a little bit run down. My room was very clean but it smelled musty. I should have asked for another room, I didn't. After spending two night in the room I ended up with a head cold. If your room smells musty ask for another one.
