I should preface this review by saying I had the great good fortune to live in London in 1983. London has a very different, slightly down-at-the-heels look and smell for me that I LOVE. People give five ⭐️ reviews for different reasons. This is mine: the Parkwood has this wonderful feel for me. It is a very clean and exceptionally friendly place. The breakfast is lovely. The staff and owner Monty are friendly and flexible. I am not the kind of traveler who wants a sterile anonymous environment. The Parkwood is quirky and welcoming. I will be back the next time I have the good fortune to go to London again.

Great hotel in a fantastic location very close to Hyde park and lots of transport links. The staff couldn’t do enough for you and the cleanliness was great however some areas of the hotel and rooms were run down and could benefit from a refurb. Nothing to put me off staying again though as the staff, location and high standard of cleaning plus the cooked breakfast everyday more than made up for it.
