The breakfast menu was fresh and there were enough choices for someone to eat. We were in one of the basement rooms and found it dark. Work was being done on the outside of the building, so lots of scaffolding which blocked a lot of the light. The bed we had was not very comfortable but we did like how quiet it was.

Love the Portland Guest House, fantastic location for wide choice of restaurants in the town. The place is always spotless and the staff are so friendly.
Entry is now via key box system and breakfast has moved over to Continental only. This still offers a good choice of food and drinks.
Defo recommend the place.
